Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel - EOL

$249.99 – $259.99

Reported by
Nate Nipper

Lake Ida (9) (MN)

Nate Nipper reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel - EOL on Lake Ida (9). Additional comments from this report: "Using 360 to find irregularities in the coontail edge helped to produce a lot of quality fish. Both the neko and jig worm were producing. Neither one really out-fished the other. Both using a GP Zoom trick worm. The jig worm did seem to keep the buttoned up a little better though. Couple nice smallmouth mixed in off the same stuff."

Reported by
Lucas Bowers

Fishing Creek Reservoir (SC)

Lucas Bowers reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel - EOL on Fishing Creek Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Cast a trick worm(floating worm style with swivel) up on riprap and work slowly. Bites seem to be random yet consistent "

Reported by
Tim Miles

Chickahominy River (VA)

Tim Miles reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Shimano Vanford Spinning Reel - EOL on Chickahominy River. Additional comments from this report: "Practiced for a few hours for an upcoming club tournament and caught bass in and around grass beds and pad fields on Z-man Jackhammers and Zoom Trick Worms rigged on Bite Me Finesse Shakey jigheads. Caught many bass, including a few that had deformities like the bass in the photo."

Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel - EOL

$159.99 – $199.99

Reported by
Laramie

Pleasant Creek Lake (IA)

We were fishing Neko Rigs in shallower water, from the bank. To work the Neko Rig, I cast it out, let it sink, give it a couple of hops, let it sink, and repeat.

Reported by
Omnia Fishing

Stockton Lake

Omnia Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel - EOL on Stockton Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Deep brush has been producing the bigger bites of late. Small window in the early morning with a topwater. Moving out to the deep brush piles with a Neko Rig works. I've been staying off the top of the piles and casting to them. Being vertical on them has been tougher lately, maybe due to fishing pressure. "

Reported by
Lonnie Bloom

Lake Minnetonka (MN)

Lonnie Bloom reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel - EOL on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "Ran several different sections of docks during my last derb on Tonka, almost exclusively threw a Neko rig at them. Finding the docks with tips in 10fow or deeper proved the best for size provided there was good milfoil present near the end or underneath the dock. It worked well as a means to cover water quickly, skipping it up under each dock from 3 different angles as we rolled up to, in front of, and past, and then moving onto the next one. Dead paused on semi slack line and then dragging it maybe 3-4" and then pausing it again, hopping did not provide the same number of bites. If it didn't get eaten after that second pause, reel in and do it again. Kick up the trolling motor speed and burn em, doubling back and hitting them from the other direction produced more bite as well. "

Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel - EOL

$109.99

Reported by
Clint Boucher

Berry Lake (WI)

Clint Boucher reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel - EOL on Berry Lake . Additional comments from this report: "There is a weed line along the deep hole on the east side of the lake. Position yourself in the deeper part and target that weed line around the hole, casting into about 11' of water. "

Reported by
Steve Wise

Potomac River (WV)

Tide was running, so I switched from wacky worming to Neko rigs. The 1/16 oz weight gave me just enough to counter the moving water. I find that the 6mm crossover rings hold the 5” Yum Dingers better then the 7mm rings that I use when I am throwing Yamamotos.

Reported by
Ben Nelson

Leech Lake (MN)

Ben Nelson reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Neko Rigs technique and Daiwa Fuego LT Spinning Reel - EOL on Leech Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The recent cold front that moved through leech lake area produced some tough fishing. While some times of day were better than others, I found good fish playing the high risk high reward game of fishing finesse right near areas of heavy cover. The key was to bring the boat to the fish after hooking it, as otherwise they would take you into the cover where you heavily run the risk of breaking your light tackle. "
