Sam Rardin Fishing
Mille Lacs Lake (MN)
Sam Rardin Fishing reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reel on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Fish are in full blown spawn with a healthy amount of pre spawners still swimming around. I paralleled rock veins and targeted the deep side of them with slow winding a hair jig. Keep your eyes peeled for followers right now, the hair jig has draw power and can give you an idea of where fish are even if they don’t actually bite. Jerkbaits and work well too but working them somewhat slow will help as well. Don’t be scared to NOT chase bed fish. On Friday I caught over 40 bass in less than 5 hours and 15 of them were around 4lbs and didn’t fish beds once! "

Ways Raasch
Roosevelt Lake (MN)
Ways Raasch reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reel on Roosevelt Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Was catching some smalies on rock/bolder flats but it had to be near a clean spot in the grass it seemed, seemed to bite best when calm and sunny. Long casts seemed to help get the bait away from the boat the best."
Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel
$229.99
Reported by
Aaron
Lake Mohawksin (WI)
Aaron reported catching Walleye using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel on Lake Mohawksin. Additional comments from this report: "Made it out for the WI opening weekend. Chose a smaller, shallower, darker body of water since the ice had just gone off many Northwoods lakes within the previous few days. Water temps ranged from upper 30's to low 40's so we found most walleyes to be roaming around 10 ft of water around points bear the river channel. In the evening or early morning some fish were a little shallower. Making long casts with the Moontail and slowly reeling it back near bottom was the most consistent producer most of the day and caught the largest fish. "

Green Bay (WI)
920.outdoors reported catching Walleye using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel on Green Bay. Additional comments from this report: "Working slowly with long pauses in between was key to getting these fish to eat in really cold water. A highly sensitive rod like the Xtreme is great for being able to feel the jig and light bites "

Catawba Tuna
Lake Erie
Catawba Tuna reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT Spinning Reel on Lake Erie. Additional comments from this report: "My new PB Smallmouth Bass weighing in at 6lb 5oz. Heavy wind on this day on Lake Erie in NY drifting over humps with two drift socks and bow mount in use while casting out and imparting aggressive rips with the rod off bottom in 20’ of water and let it sweep back on slack line to the bottom. Bites all came on the drop back on slack line. Just felt the tick or seen the line stop."

Noah Glitto reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Finesse Hair Jigs technique and Daiwa Tatula LT Spinning Reel - EOL on Chippewa Flowage. Additional comments from this report: "Water temps approaching 50 degree the smallies are starting to move closer to shore. Fish could be found in 12'-8' of water in sand rock transitions with stumps in the area. targeting stumps would almost always guarantee a bite. Slow dragging hair jigs picked off the roamers in the flats and transitions while finesse jigs and ned rigs were more effective near stumps. Color of the hair jig didn't make a difference. Using lighter braided line resulted in longer casts to cover more water and helped keep the boat away from scaring the fish. 360 imaging played a large role in making accurate casts on the transitions and dropping baits on stumps. Fish caught varied from 1lb-3lbs but if you want to catch a ton of bass this is the place to do it."
