Mille Lacs Lake (MN)
Kail’s Fishing Reports reported catching Walleye using the Ice Fishing Spoons technique and Pflueger Trion Micro Spinning Reel - EOL on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Mille Lacs is one of the best walleyes lakes in the upper midwest. Do some research and look for areas that are away from the crowds. Use your lake maps to locate small humps-reefs and hit the edges during the day and on the break and top in low light days and at night. Use your electronics to locate fish and move around. Tip your spoon with a minnow head, when you cut it off break the air bladder. I like to use braid with a short leader of mono, but you can use mono the hole way, the suffix ice braid does't hold water like normal braid. Good Luck!"

Kail’s Fishing Reports reported catching Crappie using the Ice Fishing Spoons technique and Pflueger President Micro Spinning Reel - EOL on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "Basin Crappie Fishing in the winter is a fun way to catch numbers of fish, I like to find the basin and drill out the area where the break stops. Use your electronics to locate the fish, they are normally suspended and dusk and dawn are the best but this bite normally goes all night. Tie your jigging rap directly to your line with mono and go up about 2'-3' and tie the barrel swivel then to your braid. tip your jigging rap with a small minnow head or a wax worm or euro larva drop down to just above the fish and start jigging. good Luck!"
