Also don’t worry about getting out early, fish 11am-3pm fish aren’t active or moving up to feed until later in the day as it warms up! "

I only got two bites in quick succession just before I called it a night. They wanted the Rap moving at a moderately slow pace with no pauses. Both eyes were just under 20”."

The jerkbait was straight up getting bit.6-10 feet of water was the best depth for me"

Megabass Vision 110s in French Pearl and GG Kincuro were the ticket when the wind blew. When it was calm, an Outkast Perfect Ned with a Z-man TRD Tickler mopped em up. My son caught his PB smallie (5.4 lbs!) On the Ned."

Longer pauses between rod twitches were the key. Working the jerkbait too erratically did not seem to get them to react. Slow-playing the lure got me most of my bites today. "
