Lake Alice (WI) (WI)

northern pike and bass biting good on overcast/rainy day. water temps in the 60s. burning inline spinners over cabbage flats

Reported by
Tom

Lake Harriet (MN)

Tom reported catching Muskie using the Inline Spinners technique and Sufix 832 Braid on Lake Harriet. Additional comments from this report: "Motorless lake here. Drop kayak in at the landing in the morning. Work the entire lakes weed edge but save time to focus heavily on the North and East side of the lake. Do not pass by the beaches. Before they open for swimming, it is a great opportunity to spot fish for a muskie of any size. Cast, cast and cast your Mepps Muskie Killer In-Line Spinner 3/4 oz (yes! 3/4 oz) Black/Chartreuse just above and outside the submerged vegetation and even through the anchored sailboats. No need to break your back and arms with overly heavy and priced lures at this location. "

PowerPro Spectra Braid

$18.50 – $22.50

Reported by
Mike

White River (IN)

Mike reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Inline Spinners technique and PowerPro Spectra Braid on White River. Additional comments from this report: "Fishing the flowing water below the ripples with mepps inline spinner and laydowns with a finesse rig. "

Reported by
Capt Dustin

Little Sodus Bay (NY)

Capt Dustin reported catching Northern Pike using the Inline Spinners technique and PowerPro Spectra Braid on Little Sodus Bay. Additional comments from this report: "Capt Dustin here, I'm sitting here preparing for NY Pike Season opening on Monday, May 1st (NY no longer opens on the 1st Saturday in May, it is May 1st is of 2022). And thought I'd share a little about my plans for a May 1st opening. Northern Pike will be coming out of spawn in the shallow marshes into 48ish degree water in Little Sodus Bay. I am sticking up on Power Pro 20#, Mepps Musky Killers (Oranges and Silvers with willow blades), Blue Fox Vibrax (Oranges and Silvers with Indiana blades), and War Eagle Screaming Eagle double willow in Blue Herring and Mouse. These colors will cover the sun and overcast days, daybreak and sunsets as well. Northern Pike coming out of spawn will be hungry and cold. They are looking for a little bit of warmth. This warmth can be found on shallow (4-6ft) rock shoals, points, and humps surrounded by upcoming weed beds. If you can find an extra 2 degrees, you'll find Pike. I like a variable retrieve, change it up. Stay as slow as you can and stay out of trouble and switch it up from there. Silver in the sun, gold when overcast, orange always. Things can always change. This is my plan, remember this... A plan is always a point to deviate from but it is a place you can always come back to. Happy fishing, see you on the water "

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$21.99 – $138.99

Reported by
Matthew Mattingly

Cumberland River (KY)

Matthew Mattingly reported catching Trout using the Inline Spinners technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Cumberland River. Additional comments from this report: "Trout fishing below the dam of Lake Cumberland on the river is a great way to beat the heat, have a fun fishing day and get your line stretched. Rainbow trout and big ones live here. Super easy, take your favorite light spinning rod set up, a inline spinner and cast along the laydowns and boulders. Have fun and hold on!"
