Reported by
Matt Shene

Oneida Lake (NY)

Matt Shene reported catching Walleye using the Blade Baits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Oneida Lake . Additional comments from this report: "Fished Shackleton and Messenger Shoals with a mix of drop shot and carolina rigs. The wind was heavy around 10-13 mph, so we used the trolling motor to slow down to 0.6-0.8 mph. We drifted over breaks and humps in 15-25' with a little success. We switched to blades in perch and gold (i1baits), and the fish started biting quickly, particularly in 19-22'. A slow retrieve with short hops produced the most action."

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$21.99 – $138.99

Reported by
Brandon Garrett

Lower Prior Lake (MN)

11/08/2021. Mostly cloudy. Water temp 49 to 51 degrees. With my boat in about 10-12 ft of water on the north shore I found coon-tail that's still green. With blade baits I was able to catch bass with stop-and-go retrieve - cranking 4-5 seconds then dropping down to hit the weeds, and repeating.

Reported by
Tyler Duncan

Lake Tranquility (IL)

Tyler Duncan reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Blade Baits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Lake Tranquility. Additional comments from this report: "Water temps were still pretty cold, tried to force some moving baits but found the most success yo-yo-ing a blade bait off of points in deeper water. "

Reported by
Ben Hutchins

Fontana Lake (NC)

Ben Hutchins reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Blade Baits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Fontana Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Bluff walls are a great place to find fish in the winter. I caught fish dropping a blade bait down the sides of bluff walls. Let it flutter to the bottom and then jig it back up. "

Sufix 832 Braid

$16.99 – $115.99

Reported by
Andrew De Kock

East Lake Okoboji (IA)

Andrew De Kock reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Blade Baits technique and Sufix 832 Braid on East Lake Okoboji . Additional comments from this report: "Mid April on Lake Okoboji this year and was met with the coldest water temps that I have fish in the lake has about 39°. The large mouth had just barely big to go into the shallow channels and we’re unresponsive to any lures. I ended up finding the Bass on Main Lake rock piles schooled up thick with pre spawn smallmouth! I caught a few on a Vision 110+2 in perch (walleye liked that a lot more than the smallmouth did and I think they were spawning). Almost all of my smallmouth came on the blade bait fished very slow with a spinning rod. Simply make a long cast and let it fall to the bottom then make short hops about 2ft off bottom and the fish would strike on the fall. What a fun way to catch them! "

Could watch the suspended fish chase the bait when slowly lifting it by them."
