Erik Peterson
Sakatah Lake (MN)
Erik Peterson reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Strike King Rage Bug on Sakatah Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Water temperatures are in the mid 60s. Most bass are on beds, but you will also find some that are in a post spawn feeding frenzy. Texas rigged creature baits or jigs are working to entice the bed fish. Look for fish to be tight against the bank or on edges of the milfoil."
Missile Baits D Bomb

Tim Blase
Lake Johanna (MN)
Tim Blase reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Missile Baits D Bomb on Lake Johanna. Additional comments from this report: "Focus on Lake Johanna's humps/sunken islands. Work the edges flipping texas rigged creature style baits. For me 90% of the time I am using Missile Baits D Bomb. "

PunchFishing
Bald Eagle Lake (MN)
PunchFishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Missile Baits D Bomb on Bald Eagle Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Flipping stretches of Lilly pads (there's LOTS of pads in Bald) can yield bass in all sizes. Some sections will be loaded, some won't. The typical flipping baits work, but we had success with the new Z-Man Billy Goat on a 1/2oz flipping weight. "

Rich Lindgren
Pool 2 Mississippi (MN)
Rich Lindgren reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Missile Baits D Bomb on Pool 2 Mississippi. Additional comments from this report: "Both largemouth & smallmouth bass were spawning on rip rap banks with low or no current in pockets near main channel. Beds were not visible due to water clarity, but fishing slow in likely areas produced fish. 1/8oz unpegged texas rigs and super short leader drop shots were the most productive."
Strike King Rage Craw
$5.99 – $6.99
Reported by
John Ries
Lake De Montreville (MN)
John Ries reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Strike King Rage Craw on Lake De Montreville. Additional comments from this report: "A "gem" of a twin cities lake, De Montreville offers a great opportunity to fish many different ways. I have had luck on connecting with many largemouth bass on Texas rigs here. Sunfish quantity is very high on this lake so lighter, natural colors work best. Green pumpkin yields the most fish in my experience. Explore the lake to find patches of the thickest grass, preferably near deep water. Pitching a 1/2 oz and letting bait drop to the bottom on a SLACK line will get bites. Be ware of the high northern pike population in this lake as well - many smaller "hammer handles" in my experience on this body of water. "

SnowtaBass
Lake Jane (MN)
SnowtaBass reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Strike King Rage Craw on Lake Jane. Additional comments from this report: "The dock bite can be pretty decent on Jane in the summer time. The shallow water bass will be seeking shade and cover when the water temp rises. Target the docks with a Texas rig. I prefer around 1/4oz flipping weight but 3/8oz works great as well. Pitch and skip the bait underneath the dock as far back as you can get it, and work the bait slowly back to the boat. A majority of the time the bass will hit it on the fall. Also target any natural cover you may come across like trees and logs in the water."

Jackson Smith
Lake Minnetonka (MN)
Jackson Smith reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Strike King Rage Craw on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "Flipping docks and shallow weedy flats that were exposed and and were wind blown was key to catching fish. Caught a few on docks and flats and some more back in shallow channels to smaller lakes. Bite is slowing down drastically but you can still find active fish up shallow . "

Garrett W reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Texas Rigs (Pitch/Flip) technique and Strike King Rage Bug on Forest Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Had alot of big bites and caught a few nice ones offshore. We found good grass growing and there was sunny beds in the pockets. So we pitched Texas rigs into the holes and caught some nice ones doing it. A rage bug with an unpegged vmc 3/8s weight was a very solid combo."
