Fished in the White River today from the mouth all the way to shell knob. Caught crappie out of deep trees with live scope. The wind made it tough and had to sort thru a lot of blue gill but there are some really nice crappie hanging in the deep trees right now! Bobby Garland baby Shad on 1/16 and 1/8 ounce heads.

We targeted docks on channel banks that had Shad around them. The pattern has held up for the last several weeks and yielded a tournament win out of Cape Fair where we had a 7 fish limit for 12.88 lbs. Play with the weight of your jig heads depending on the depth of the fish. We also found a few fish in deep trees but the majority of the fish in those trees with the Shad were blue gill. The fish are on the move right now and they may not be where they were yesterday. Understanding your electronics is a giant plus!
