Fished the BFL down on Table Rock this past weekend. Had a fairly good practice catching lots of 3lb+ spots on a 1/4oz damiki. Tournament day came and there was no wind and I just couldn't get my fish to fire. I ran up the river instead and squeezed out a limit up shallow. They are chewing this time of year. Go find some brushpiles in 20-25ft of water and throw an a-rig or minnow over top. They seemed to be moved up onto the gravel a little bit as well.

Fished the Cape Fair up to the Piney Creek area. Bluff ends and points seem to produce best. Water below Cape Fair Marina had stained color. Caught several FAT Kentucky's and Blacks between 2-4lbs.

Jerk bait and A-rig's on points is still working! The jig bite and crankbait bite are improving but not there yet.

We had a great morning on the lower end this morning! We caught several nice largemouth, smallmouth, and kentuckies. The fish had pushed Shad into a few small pockets and several of the secondaries in the larger creeks around the dam. We caught all our fish on 2.8 Keitechs paired with the 3/16 Dirty Jigs Guppy head on 6 lb seaguar invisx. There is still 3-4 foot visibility around the dam, some stained water in the larger creeks and dirty water once you get past the Long Creek Marina. There are a lot of ways to catch fish right now! Pick your favorite, find the right water and enjoy!!! SoMo Fish Co 417-838-3122

Water temps hovering right around 50. Most of the stuff we found was mid lake 49-50 degree temps. 1st third of the secondary points with wood was absolute key. A rigs did most the damage but Jerkbaits and shakey heads would pull off a couple extra fish as well. Water was clearer than normal and wind was a major factor as well.
