Throwing Shakey heads on laydowns in the rappahanock. Had an outgoing tide and overcast sky’s. I was using a 1/8 oz Scott Canterbury head, working the worm with the current in the same direction of the tide. Zoom Plum Trick Worms are becoming my one of my favorite colors to throw on a shakey head. I use the Falcon Lowrider Shakey Head rod with a 2500 size Daiwa Fuego reel. In the $130 price range, the Lowriders are one of my favorite series of rods. I own 5 of them now.

Fished the incoming tide all morning. Bite was slow as to be expected with those conditions. It was a cool morning and I couldn’t buy a topwater bite (lost one at the kayak on a buzz toad). I caught the fish in the picture on a shakey head and plum trick worm.
