The lake was still mostly frozen but not enough for ice fishing safely. I hiked downstream from Lower Dam to where the stream opens up into a basin area that was completely thawed. Caught this pickerel fairly quickly. Glad it was a lip hook since I forgot to bring forceps or pliers along!

Caught within casting distance of the dock. I was in the boat but didn't really need to be. Bait was about 3' down in about 7' of water. Moderate retrieve with some stop-start.
