A great spring Crappie spot from just after ice out tell the end of May is a long the west side of the south point on the lake. Fish from about 10' of water right up to the shore. Put a split shot about a foot above your jig. I like the weighted bobbers, you need less weight and it takes less pressure for the fish to pull them down and they cast easier. Tip your jig with a crappie minnow or a plastic. Start out deep and work your way in. Each day is different on how far out they are.

Use your electronics to locate the fish, they will look like a Christmas Tree on your normal 2D sonar. Look over basin areas of the lake and find soft bottom areas in about 30' of water. I like to tie my mono to the braid giving about 5' of mono and putting the snap swivel on the bait but you can use a barrel swivel to jion the mono to the braid. Jig above them slowly and when you feel them bite give a second before you set the hook. Good Luck
