Fished Feb 5, 2022 Water temp 50-52, heavy stain in the creeks but clear near the dam. Fishing was tough with the recent heavy rain and post front conditions. 3 good bites off main lake points for an 11lb bag. Fire craw colors are starting to produce but the Tactical DD produced our biggest fish (5lb’er).

I went all the way to the Oconee Dam to look for cleaner water, but the entire lake was really muddied up from the rain the week before. The most consistent water temp was 48 degrees, and less than 2 ft of visibility. The hybrid were on top of humps or just on the side of boulders and would eat the umbrella rig if it got any closer than 3 feet. Putting it right in front of them was the key with the water being so dirty and having no wind or current.
