Water temps were in the upper 50’s and the water is really clear for this lake. Bass were tight to cover whether that was brush or dock pilings. Slow presentation and long pauses with the jig got bites. I targeted mid depth docks in the backs of the creeks. My rod of choice is the Megabass P5 FMJ and its phenomenal! Best jig rod on the market.

Water is still really clear with temps in the upper 50’s. Mid strolling/hover shot is a great way to target hybrids and stripers this time of year. Fish were schooled up in the creeks off the main lake chasing bait. Forward facing sonar plays a big part in finding and keeping up with these fish. The new duo realis baits are definitely worth trying. If worked properly, the darting action is sick and they flat out get bit.

Water temp below the Wallace dam was 55 consistently. As soon as they started generating current, I was catching decent striper almost every other cast. I was running only 1/8 oz jig heads to keep the bait high in the water column and out of the rocks. Once the power generation stopped, I had to slow the bait down to get it just barely ticking the tops of rocks to get a bite.

Portions of the lake in the creeks and mouths of creeks are still muddy from runoff, but I targeted the dying/dead grass edges for bites. I didn't run across any giants, but I did consistently get bit using the chatterbait. I think that bite my be dying off, but the fish should be in their winter holes very soon.

Major cold front came through and dropped the water temps. Skipped jigs around docks that had some brush in front of them. That was key. The fish moved to the deeper part of the dock and were holding on the edges.

Fish were holding to docks on the lower end of the lake near the damn. It was a cloudy day and the fish were spread out. We got bit on the back side and front side of docks. The darker colors seemed to work best. We caught most of them Texas rigged but we caught a few on a drop shot as well.
