Fished many techniques shallow and deep only bites came from two brush piles in 25' of water down lake. Dropshot slowly dragged into the brush. Subtle bite. Sensitive rod was a key. Only one of 8 competitors to take a limit. Big fish caught by someone else came on a Carolina rig in 8' of water

Fished Lake Anna's hot side for a third straight day and had another great day. Although most of the fish were under 2 pounds, I managed a few that were pushing 3 pounds, including the one in the attached photo (check out the fish's belly!). I caught this largemouth while he/she suspended in 10 feet of water over a 30 foot dropoff. I saw him/her on my Humminbird MegaLive about 60 feet away from my boat, and I tossed a Neko-rigged Zoom Trick Worm his/her way. I saw the fish swim past the worm and then make a sharp turn to eat it. I caught many more bass, as well as a few really nice walleye, during the day. All came on the Neko rig or a shakey head Trick Worm in black or Watermelon Purple Glitter (WPG) on a 3/32oz Bite Me Finesse Shakey Head jig.

Fished Pool 1 of Lake Anna's hot side, where the water was much warmer than the water I fished the prior day in Pools 2 and 3. Found fish along rip rap banks and on rock piles in 10 to 20 feet of water. The bass willing to hit Zoom Trick Worms in black and watermelon/red flake on Bite Me Finesse Shakey Head jigs. I caught my better fish on a 3/8oz Dirty Jigs Flippin Jig with a Netbait Paca Chunk trailer. Like the previous day, we had a lot of sunshine, but air temps were only in the upper 30s. The morning started out at 16 degrees!
