Crappie were spread across brush and downed timber, with some coming off of dropoff weed edges. Slow retrieves with pauses and shakes lead to countless hookups as fish were in the middle of spawning.

Bass were scattered across weedy flats and dropoffs all morning and afternoon. Slower steady retrieves, lift and drops, moderate retrieves with occasional shakes, and fat retrieves just below the surface all produced fish, with slow and moderate taking the biggest fish. Only the occasional pickerel showed up, so it was a good day.
