We were able to catch some good fish in the shallows at lake Eufaula Alabama yesterday. The frog bite was excellent! We were also able to catch several good fish using a 7.5 inch culprit worm around grass lines and lay downs!

I had a few hours to go fishing before a storm was supposed to come through. So, I went and put in at Honeycomb. I saw a bunch of seagulls and loons that were diving in a little cut. I pulled in there and started throwing the chatterbait evo with an STC Sniper Pro on the back. I caught 5 or 6 decent fish, including a couple of 3s. I pulled out a little deeper once that bite died and started throwing a light Arig so I could keep it above the grass and caught a 4 lber and some spots that were roaming the area. Tried a jerbait but got no bites on it. Got off the water just before 12.

Took about a half day in the first Phoenix Bass Fishing League tournament, but finally found bass on grass humps in the main lake near Goose Pond.

With all the rain this last week the water was pretty dirty but we were still able to catch a few good ones anywhere we could find any submerged vegetation around lay downs in around 5-12 foot of water. Working a worm produced the best fish but an umbrella rig also produced some gold bites as well.

Lake dropped 5 degrees since last weekend and today was post front conditions. Bite was tough, lots of chasers and few takers. Managed a few LMB live scoping brush piles and throwing an A rig. Had to slow roll it. No smallie takers today.

The bite was slow today with the changing temps over the past few days but I was still able to catch a few good ones. The OG slim produced some good ones around lay downs and the chatter bait was hammered around grass lines but the culprit 7.5” worm produced the biggest bites around lay downs in 5-10 foot of water in the back ends of the creeks 🤙👍

The fish were tight to wood cover and the current helped position them on the bank in ambush points. You may have to throw by a laydown 3 times before one commits.

Fished for 6 hours today and managed 7 keeper LMB. Best 5 went about 12lbs. Not too bad of a day. All came cranking a 3XD in shizzle pattern. Most came off laydowns and stumps and one came off a grass line edge. Water is at least 5-6ft below pool.

Fished for 5 hours in the morning. Caught about 15 bass, mostly LMB but did get one Spotted Bass and one SMB. Best 5 went about 9lbs. Lake is about 3 feet low so I hit structure/laydowns in deeper water on main lake points. SB Crank bait by Ichikawa caught most. Got a few on the trusty ole jackhammer.

We’ve had a couple of good days out on lake eufaula the past two days. Using the super spoon jr around rip raff proved to be a good way to get bit. Slow rolling a spinner bait around submerged timber in 10-15 foot of water also produced good fish. The OG slim around rip raff and bridge pillars also produced fish but the best bites came from punching grass mats with the incredi-bug and the best mats where in around 5 foot of water anywhere there was live grass around. Also using the 7.5 inch culprit worm in various colors produced good fish around lay downs in water anywhere from 1-10 foot but all of the best fish were in around 1-5 foot of water. Good luck out there and tight lines 👍👍

Look like the bass are moving up to stage for the spawn. Large mouth on crankbait, and spots on jigs.

I went out with a bud to look for some good fish for upcoming tournaments. We found a pocket with a bunch of gizzard shad roaming and the bass were in there with them. Just ripped the Z-63 out of the grass and they would maul it. My buddy was throwing an ARig and caught a few. I even caught a big gizzard. We started running around to see if we could find other areas but due to the Battle of the Baits Tournament going on boats were everywhere and we could never get in places we wanted without getting in line.
