Bank stop right at sunset. First fan cast area with Ripstop that produced two hits, one on but lost when lifting out of the water. Next worked area with wacky rigged Senko which produced 4 hits & 2 bass landed. Last worked area with chatterbait with one solid hit that knocked bait sideways but did not connect. Nothing big but nice to land the first 2 bass of 2022.

Prespawn evening trip until 45 minutes after sunset. Started with 5" red shad senko, rigged weightless, Texas-style casting at different types of visible cover (laydowns, submerged dark patches (pad stems, other submerged vegetation), rocks). Cast, dead stick for 15 secs, drag for a bit then work back as soft jerkbait; bass mainly hit on initial drop; pickerel when working back. Once sunset, senko bite died, started slow rolling chatterbait (green pumpkin with gp speed craw trailer) over rocks, logs and grass on bottom. Nine bass, 3 pickerel caught in 1.5 hour outing.
