Smallmouth were hanging around grass lines in 8-12' around points and flats. Finding some rock or gravel around the grass was a key indicator that smallies would be around. Largemouth could be caught fishing into the grass with shakey heads and finesse worms as well.

Walleyes are just completing the spawn and are still up super shallow. They’ve been chasing schools of perch that have been spawning around shallow short weed patches. A 1/4 oz jig and 3 to 4” paddletail have been working great to catch these fish, especially around bite windows in the morning and evening.
