A lot of small bites on the wacky rig in 5-7ft of water around rocks and ledges. There were bigger bites using the Nessie glide baits/swimbaits in both the 5” and 7”. I started with the 5” and had plenty of bites. I figured I’d upsize and try to draw some larger fish up and it worked. I had two large bites and one take on the 7” raw Nessie

The spinnerbait worked well for those fish staging on rock piles off points. They seem to be out chasing bait fish so a white spinnerbait seemed to do the trick for a 18”, 4.5 pounder. Up around the banks they were hitting the pop max. Had to get it deep under overhangs to get a bite but they are there this time of the year pushing bait up against the banks.
