The lake is still 5-6ft below normal pool, but I was still determined to get out there. Lots of exposed brush that is usually underwater, I opted not to fish a lot of it and try to find some rock/brush that still had water over the top. I found a nice rock pile and plucked one off of it with a football jig. The real deal was the 6th Sense Provoke jerkbait with a Crank Wraps crappie wrap on it. The water was pretty clear (about 2-3’) so I tried to keep it as natural as possible. I focused on the back half of the creeks around where the jetties were supposed to be around exposed laydowns and found some nice fish. I was using the typical twitch, twitch, pause cadence waiting about 3 seconds between iterations. Fun day!

Water level at Viking is about 2-3 feet below normal pool. Water temp was 58-59 F. Visibility about 2 feet, with slight stain, some turbidity from recent rain. Partner and I boated about three dozen. Lots of healthy 2-2.5 pounders. Lost what looked to be a 4-pounder at the boat (it figures). Fished mostly dropshot with Roboworm 6" straight tail, and a little jerkbait with LC Pointer 110. There is still some green milfoil, and fish seemed to be relating to the edges and on flats next to creek channels. Most were caught in 2-4' of water.
