I fished a tournament on this day pitting the three Brained area bass clubs against one another. I am a non-boater in the Baxter Bass Snatcher Club. My boater was from the Range Bassmasters and has had a lot of success on Mission. We didn’t go far from the launch. I was catching bass almost immediately on the black/blue Powebait Bunker Hawg I had ordered from Omnia a few days previously. I was culling 45-minutes into the day and had my big bass of the day(3/13). My boater just wasn’t getting any bites. After about an hour on the first spot we took a short run to his other juice. He got a couple of bass there and I culled up with a 2lb fish. We then ran some reeds. I got a quality cull on a frog fish. Unfortunately, that was the last frog bite I got. I had a long lull from 10:30 to 2:30. In the final hour I got a couple of quality upgrades on the Big Blade Chatterbait..My fish weighed 13lbs 7oz and was tied with a Snatcher for the 7th best, but I lost the tie breaker. The Bass Snatchers came out on top by a pretty good margin.

There is an abundance of reeds in the lake but the lake is not that large. If you slow down and really pick apart the key areas like points or thick reed clumps you will find success.
