The weather has been crazy this Fall. We had a couple cool fronts come through, but then temps got back into the 80s for a couple of week. The fish were biting good a couple days before. They did move a little bit from where they were positioned and the bites were a lot tougher. I had to search for them along the grass line. These fish were originally positioned mid part of cove I was fishing, but some moved further back and a few moved out towards the point. I had a few swipe at my bait and just wouldn't commit to the bite. So ended up swapping colors and baits to see what they wanted; however, it seemed to be just one of those days where the bites were finicky with bird blue skies and little wind after talking to other anglers.
