Nice afternoon. My son got an ambitious rainbow on a crank bait while my conventional approach of small inline spinner got catch of the day. The fish are active on schooling minnows close to shore.

Shore fishing from small piers or bank was productive. Casting straight out with a slow retrieve back, keeping the lure within mid to lower water column on the retrieve. Rainbow Trout were sitting up off a submerged weed line.
