Sunrise Lake in Blaine, MN is a great destination for kayak anglers. Only electric motors are allowed on the lake, so no wake boats or jet skis interupt your fishing. I was in search of Largemouth Bass and this lake has plenty of them. I found schools of bass in open water, but the best action came from skipping a whacky worm under docks. My biggest largemouth this day was 18.25”. The big bass are under the docks and strike fast and hard…IT’S A THRILL! Be ready, hold on tight and be prepared to reverse away from the dock!
