Icy roads and winter conditions may stop me from traveling, but not from hitting the local pond. If you have cabin fever like me and crazy enough to get out there, bundle up and take the finesse gear. I had success with Ned rigs, with absolutely NO ACTION. Cast it out and let it fall to the bottom, let it soak for 15-20 seconds and drag it slower than slow. The bass are either near the rocks to keep warm or have their bellies in the mud.

Points
With the cold front coming in, bass are moving up the creek and to creek mouths feeding on the baitfish. The bite is good with paddle tail swimbaits, flukes, swimjigs, bladed jigs, and crankbaits in the deeper creek channels. Dropshots with "half shell" type baits and smaller worms that will mimic bait fish are effective when the bite slows down.
