Found most fish near and on wood in depths of 2-20ft of water with the classic Roboworm. These fish wanted the bait to soak with little movement at all.

Motor: Lowrance Ghost Electronics: Lowrance HDS Live 12 x 3, Active Target Rods: ALX Maestro, Enox LSB bass Patrol jig, Custom Zolo Powerbolt (a-rig) Reels: Daiwa Tatula 200 Line: Suffix Advance Fluoro, Cortland Braid Lures used: FattyZ, Bass Patrol w/Yamamoto twin tail grub Pressure: mixed Moon Phase: waning gibbous Weather: Cloudy, downpour Wind: 5-40mph gusts Air Temp: 42-49 degrees. Water Temp: 52-57 Water Clarity: water clarity conditions were variable Target Depth 1-50’ with most fish caught in 15-30’. I fished Shasta for 6 days straight from sun up to 4pm+\-. The first three days were sunny and calm with air temps hitting the mid 70’s followed by 3 days of non-stop extreme rain and heavy wind. The first 3 days I caught fish on primarily bottom baits like the Hayabusa football jig, FattyZ etc along with a glide bait. I fished all over and caught fish all over the lake so I can’t really say one area was better than another. The fish are all fat right now and eating small 1-2” shad. The fish were primarily glued to the bottom but there were some roamers and some would come up for a bait like the glide bait. To be successful fish slow. Very slow. Soak your baits, work reaction slow. The fish are not in a very positive mood. This was pre-fishing and competing in the WON Bass Shasta Open. 3 days without a functioning motor for the event as well. I managed an average of 12lbs a day which I would say you can easily do 12-14 a day at the moment and possibly better if you know where to look.
