Tough day on the water. It got very hot, very early then the rain came and completely changed the bite for us. We had several fish on in the thick pads, but we were only able to land one over 3 lbs. The bite was super spongey and not aggressive. It took over 18 lbs. to win our local club tournament. Big fish of the day was just under 6 lbs. Absolutely love the new Mustad Alpha Point Assault hooks! They really keep the bait straight and be careful, they are extremely sharp! Great product.

We focused on Lilly pad pockets. We were dragging the speed worm slowly up and over the pads. We also were throwing on the outside of them and burning them back.
