Bass fishing is very tough here in the summer. Your best bet is to cover the bank with topwater in the early morning/late evening and focus on fishing slow around laydowns or grass lines with jigs, Texas rigs, or weightless plastics like a wacky rig senko. Swim jigs will occasionally produce fish too. Most Bass are good-sized here and there are some giants, so the grind can be worth it.

Trout are difficult to come by, but there is a chance at a GIANT. Caught a 27 inch rainbow through the ice on a jig and plastic and others have caught a few 12-15 inchers. There is also a pretty good chance at catching small Perch or other panfish and a bass if you get lucky. Tip-ups with small minnows or small jigs and plastics/waxies seem to do well for trout. Focus on the deeper water areas by the dam, but keep your bait on the shallow side. If your tip-up is in 10 feet, set your bait to 5 feet since the trout tend to roam a lot. Good luck!
