The bass were suspending on the end of shallower main lake points ambushing huge balls of Shad! The depths ranged anywhere from 8ft-15ft Most people were fishing the beginning of the points but during the second day of the post front the bass had pulled off and set up on some boulders and chunk rock of the ends of points. We pulled up to multiple points and landed between 5-6 fish off each point We were “yo-yoing” lipless crankbaits off the bottom and dragging worms on Carolina Rigs, Shaky Heads, and Texas Rigs. Our biggest fish came off trees that had fallen in coves in about 7ft of water! Cold fronts can make bass fishing tough but if you can adapt you can catch a ton of fish!

        68°

The water temps were around 68. But fish were still in Pre-Spawn & spawn stages. With many males on beds, we relied on secondary & main lake points looking for some big females. I found this 5lb 9oz 19” fish Yo-yoing a 6th Sense Quake 70 off the ends of points where we could locate baitfish. As the day progressed, we switched to throwing finesse worms on shakey heads & Carolina rigs for bites.
