January 20th 2022 I came here to ice fish with a few of my buddies. I also brought my younger brother for his first time ice fishing. We went straight out from a parking lot into about 6-8 foot of water. We had tip ups set out baited with medium sized shiners. while we were jigging with small tungsten jigs tipped with either soft plastics or waxworms. We caught plenty of fish. Lots of chain pickerel as well as some bass and perch all on tip ups. jigging we caught many bluegill a few bass and even a crappie. It was a great time. June 18th My girlfriend and I fished a local bass fishing tournament here. I threw a baby frog from spro in the morning and caught a few dink bass and a few pickerel. But my key bait I caught most of my fish on was a Texas rigged yum dinger throwing it on a 1/0 egg hook and a 1/8 ounce tungsten weight from Rabid Baits. Fishing was tough, throwing neko rigs shallow, and in deeper water around the standing timber, the main producer was a deeper diving crankbait with a bright color on it. Water was off color and the grass was thick.
