I was fishing the Mississippi river while it was flooded! I got into some Walleye along with some smallmouth bass. Overall great day fishing!

We were in Winona for the MN Bass Nation Team Trail event. We found fish in a combination of flooded timber and brush during practice. By tournament day the fish seemed to have moved out of the timber and we found most agressive fish around standing weeds. Fish were in a mix of pre-spawn, spawn and post-spawn, the most active fish were around moderate flow in the grass and chasing chatterbaits and swimbaits. Lots of nice pike mixed in, we caught several pike over 30" in the same areas with the bass.
