Visually seeing shad flicking out of the water along with boils was key to accurately targeting fish. Focused on both upstream and downstream points with scattered eelgrass. Also caught some good fish on wingdams.

Water is warm enough to give those wingdams a break and go looking shallow for some largemouth. Great time to target bass pulling up on laydowns and rock walls.

Moving water around eelgrass and duckweed was the ticket. 5a is one of my favorite pools and does not disappoint when you get in the right pocket.

I was fishing the Mississippi river while it was flooded! I got into some Walleye along with some smallmouth bass. Overall great day fishing!

It rain all morning and the only thing I could get them to eat today was a black/blue swim jig or black/blue chatterbait. Water was fairly clean, fishing in about 5ft or less but most were up super shallow.

We were in Winona for the MN Bass Nation Team Trail event. We found fish in a combination of flooded timber and brush during practice. By tournament day the fish seemed to have moved out of the timber and we found most agressive fish around standing weeds. Fish were in a mix of pre-spawn, spawn and post-spawn, the most active fish were around moderate flow in the grass and chasing chatterbaits and swimbaits. Lots of nice pike mixed in, we caught several pike over 30" in the same areas with the bass.

On Saturday it seemed like the bass were oriented on hard cover like flooded trees but on Sunday we were catchen a lot of bass on green grass with a little current and some on old Reed beds.
