Lake has depths of up to 60ft. Matt points and flats.Part of strip mine lakes in area and managed by Mazonia wildlife Forestand preserve. Large area of strip mine lakes. Others include Monster, Eagle, Bass, Bullhead , Wilderness, carp, 4x4, etc. About 20 lakes . When you enter different locations feels like Wisconsin with Pines and wooded area. Water clear in some lakes cloudy in others. Stocked lakes annually with Walleye and Redear, Bluegill and good Bass population. Also state record for Northern Pike in Monster pit.

With the clear water (12’+ visibility) and the naturally colder water temps that come with it, forward facing sonar is hard to beat. There are many 15” or shorter fish up by the reed edges, but your 3lb+ fish are still near their wintering areas (20’+) this fish traveled from 18’ up to 8’ to eat the jerkbait.
