One of the best times of the year for large and smallmouth and for walleye. Largemouth are shallow and in various spawning stages. Smallmouth are in the hard rocky areas that warm up first close to spawning sites. Walleyes are starting to put on feed bag around weed edges and clumps.

Caught a lot of nice sized Yellow Perch with a gulp minnow on a small jig head. I casted my bait under a bridge and they would smash it. They fought very hard for their size. Had a blast catching them.

Dropshotting around deep weed edges in 10-20'. Only bites came on small baits, winner of the day was the great lakes finesse flat cat. First time trying GLF baits and I love em!
