Water is super clear, there are a lot of cruising carp and large mouth bass. We Used Roboworm for the drop shot wait that was soaked in bait fuel for about 48 hours before we went to fish. They were loving the bait fuel scent! Just watch out for sharp rocks at the lake because they will cut your line.

First time at Pardee, so it took me a little bit to get the lay of the land and figure things out. As usual, I tried lots of different techniques, but success for me always seems to come from finesse tactics. It was a beautiful day, after a couple of weeks of very hot weather (110+), it was cloudy and only got to 95 degrees outside. The water was pretty warm, so the fish seemed to be looking to cool down. I had some initial success with a drop shot (Strike King KVD Dream Shot in Blue Craw) anywhere close to submerged laydowns. But most of those seemed to be in the 1-1.5 lb range. My real success came when I used the Zoom Magnum Trick Worm (7" in Plum) on ledges, where the water was cooler at the drop offs. Much better fish in those locations. I would cast back towards the ledge, let it sink all the way down and slow drag back. I'll definitely come back to Pardee for more of that.
