"Crappie prime time" It was a fun day throwing out slip bobbers tipped with spikes and waxies, we moved dock to dock until we found ones deep enough that had laydowns next to them we would then push pole off the spot and make long casts at the docks and laydowns. We had our slip bobbers with the cubby jig set at a 1.25ft never went shallower or deeper it seems to be the perfect length no matter how deep. It creates a pendulum action with the cubby and garland combo slowly sweeping above their heads. Shady sides of docks always are a player because fish don't have eyelids and hate starring right into the sun. A 2500 size reel for crappie fishing is rather big but allows you to pull more line while you reel, as well as make longer more efficient casts.

Ledges
Fished jerk baits on ledges incredibly slow. Mega bass suspending was really key. Covered a lot of water in order to find fish.
