With the lake of ice I went out in Waukan Bay and set up on a reef probably shallower then everyone else. 13.5fow. There were a lot of decent perch around. Caught them on jigs with a fathead minnow. Then I set up a dead stick with 8lb test line. A plain hook and a shiner. Using a okuma bait feeder reel and a circle tackle dead meat rod.

the VMC Tingler Spoon was made for Winter Eyes on Mille Lacs. When you take the spoon out of the package make sure that one of the treble hooks is lined up on the back side of the spoon, and if its not take it off and move it so it does, Put a minnow head on the Spoon on the back side only and drop it down to the bottom and bang it off the bottom a few times. Reel up at least one foot off the bottom and jig slowly, when the fish comes in keep jigging tell you feel the bite and set the hook. Good Luck!

Found more active fish on reefs in that 18ft of water. The fish weren't as schooled up as they were a week ago but caught more individual fish roaming around. jigging spoons were minnow head were the ticket again.
