First ice and Last ice is the best fishing, with the temps rising and the snow melting it is bringing oxygen and warmer water into the shallows,. Locate a shallow area and use your camera to find green weeds. Drill out the area and I have been Using My Garmin live to stay on the fish.It is better to have the holes drilled to not spook them in the shallow water. Drop down and use a bouncing action on the jig, if they don't hit right away play keep away with them by pulling away very slowly. Tip the jig with a waxie or a Maggot or a plastic. Good Luck!
