Weed growth has been very aggressive and much further along than usual for this time of year. Started shallow with a chatterbait working the weed edges shallow to deep and found the larger fish pushed out a bit. Even found a few blue gill starting to relate to beds. Slowed down with a bigger jig and ned rig then really found the nicer fish in the middle of the deeper weeds (10-12 ft) with a drop shot. A few pike mixed in too but good numbers and size overall.

Found the fish on the first break in 5-9' of water. Some were on the inside edge of the weed line others were on the deeper edge. Bluegill spawn was starting. Fresh beds with fish on them in 1-3'
