Last derby of the season last night on Maple. Bite was pretty slow until sunset. A few fish caught on a Texas rigged craw tube in 4-6 feet in the weeds. Closer to sunset the bite heated up on a jig worm, 8-12 feet in and around the weed line. Big fish was 3 lbs.

Bluegill were popping in and out of weed edges early. Bass were in and out chasing them. Texas rigged bluegill imitations did the best.

Found crappies moving around in shallow bays along with bluegill and juvenile bass. Had to move around to the windblown side of the bay to follow the school as they relocated with the conditions throughout the weekend. Small jigs with primarily black and chartreuse tubes or creature baits were the ticket.
