    Fished the Mississippi that drops out of Little Rabbit yesterday (Nov. 8) and found some pretty big schools of smallmouth. Focusing on areas with rock next to vegetation and a good edge made for good fishing. Marking them with down imaging then positioning the bait 20 ft away was the most productive. One thing I didn’t put on techniques was blade baits. The biggest fish that I caught all bit the blade bait (1/4 fire tiger) . Then I could finish the school off slow rolling a swimbait and dragging a ned across bottom. I could tell the fishing pressure has picked up big time in the areas I like to go. Have an open mind and move around. Really slow down and be methodical in your approach. When working the blade bait barely move it. Understand the fish are wintering right now and trying to really exert minimal energy to feed. Depths I was fishing was 16ft-20ft with rocky bottom. Good luck guys ! One more outting to go!
