Laurel is a smaller highland reservoir with deep, clear and usually cool water. There are all three species of bass that live here. I usually have the best luck fishing the main lake bluffs with either a single finesse swimbait or multiple on an umbrella rig in the pre-spawn. You are likely to catch any of the 3 species, but spotted bass and smallmouth will be the majority. It is a fun bite and you can cover a lot of water
