Water clarity is about 3 foot or so in the summer. My biggest bites came from fishing the point on the northern part of the lake. Fish are stacked up. You will catch plenty of bass here, but nothing bigger than a two pounder

Had to skip opener this year due to graduating from college, but got out on Monday to my favorite local lake west of the cities. I was expecting spawn/post spawn conditions due to 60 degree water, but I did not catch a single fish up shallow or out deep. All fish came out of 6-10 feet of water throwing a drop shot with a scented jerk shad or other fluke style baits. Using mega 360 to cast at spots in the grass flats that had less amounts of vegetation was the key to my success today. Never thought I would be throwing a drop shot during prespawn. Caught a few on the 6 inch magdraft but those fish were few and far between. Not sure if they are having a slow year with spawning, but I feel like last year at this time they were already done with the spawn.
