This winter has been extremely tough on Lake Wylie, it's been a grind every outing. Covering water is the best option for finding the bass. Points with concrete sea walls and/or rip rap is where I have been catching the better quality of fish, still finding them on docks but it has not been the same quality of bass as you find during the summer months. Ten to twelve pound sacks will have you in the money on most tournament days right now. Cover water using the DT 10 on varied retrieves has been the best way I've found to trick a few Wylie bass this winter with the occasional jig bite mixed in. Tight lines!!

Normally would not post twice in the same day, but I am leaving Tillery now and wanted to give a quick update. Air temps rose from below freezing to ~40 degrees before noon, with bright sunshine and clear water visibility to 4+ feet. Had some success on a Drop Shot using a 4.5" Straight Tail Roboworm in Morning Dawn. But really wanted to share that I also had success with a Wacky Rig using a 5" Yamasenko in Green Pumpkin Black. Really had not thrown that technique all Winter, so a pleasant surprise. Good luck to everyone on the lake today!
