Fish seemed to be suspended just off the bottom or cruising next to the river channel. The Mini Blades is my favorite wintertime umbrella rig to use because it is so small and just gets bit!

Bass were moving up into the river and main lake reeds. We fished a gravel bank and caught all of our fish with jewel finesse jigs with rage bug and rage craw trailers dipped in chartreuse dye. We missed several bites in the river reeds as they were really slow moving with water temps in the mid 50’s. Bass were more active on the main lake at 60-62 degrees in the afternoon. I got to test out the Shimano mastiff fluorocarbon line this weekend for the first time with the 14# test. Castability was excellent as I typically fish with invizx line and was as close or better. Line did get dinged up as expected going through rocks but did not break off even with knicks while fighting fish. Overall I was impressed with the Mastiff line!

Caught a Limit on the Texas Rig and Carolina Rig on humps and brush piles. Caught a nice keeper on an underspin as well early in the morning.
