Bluegill were surface feeding over the top of the weed flats. Throwing a popper created some pretty explosive strikes even if the size was mostly small.

Fishing along the shorelines I would cast close to shore and drag the senko to the edge of the weeds right where the transition happened from clean water to submerged vegetation is when I would get bit. I was using a 7’ ML JTX by JT Outdoor Products paired with a Daiwa Tatula light weight and super sensitive was the key to success!
