Lake whatcom is a clear water lake and this finesse jig head works amazing in open water, color is prefect for this body of water! makes a lot of noise that draws smallmouth from afar. I had most success pair this up with the 3" spark shad in baby bass color and caught more than 6 smallies within an hour. Highly recommend.

All 3 stages are happening this time of year. I suck at bed fishing so I targeted the the ones that were moving in and out for the spawn. Drop shotting 10-15ft of water was the ticket for this footballs! Had a decent day since this was my first time on this lake. Definitely will be back!
