After a few days of more inconsistent bite, today there was definitely a pattern until late morning. You could catch smaller bass on the edges or pockets of matted grass weed lines but the bigger fish came along the lily pads. You had to walk the frog slowly with a few short pauses in and under lily pads to get the bigger fish to bite. At times if you got in the same gap they would hit it 2-3 times if they missed it the first time. If you moved out deeper you had to deal with small northerns slapping at the top water.
