The bays on the south shore of Lake Of The Woods are a Pike anglers dream right after ice-out. Pike move into the bays to spawn and Pike fishing is open year-round on Lake Of The Woods. My go to lure is spinnerbaits in a variety of sizes and colors. Be ready to try different colors and sizes to see what lure is working the day you're out. Be ready to try other techniques like inline spinners, spoons, live or dead bait under a float or swimbaits. Large pike are plentiful, use heavy line, gear and leaders to ensure you land personal best pike!

Found some basin Ciscos since the walleyes refused to cooperate. These things fight hard, but smell terrible

Winter fishing Lake of the Woods is a great destination walleye Hot Spot all winter long. Drill out your area and drop your Glow Spoon down to the bottom and bounce it on the bottom a few times and pull it up about 2 feet and start jigging. Watch your electronics for fish coming in when they come in keep jigging, you can slow down but don't stop, if they don't hit it reel up slow playing keep away. Good Luck!
